Efficient

Skaarup self-unloading technology greatly increases the unloading speed of dry bulk cargo from the vessel.

The efficiency of our self-unloading technology can be best illustrated by examining the unloading rates of the M/V Georgia S and traditional dry bulk ships.

The M/V Georgia S can unload herself at the rate of 2,000 tons per hour via her self-contained conveyor belt system.

That means she can unload in less than a day. Furthermore, since she unloads herself, there is no need for stevedores, shore cranes, and dump trucks.

A traditional dry bulk carrier can unload at a rate of about 600 tons per hour.  This means that it would take about three days to unload a traditional bulk carrier.  By using SUL technology, customers can save both time and money.
