Liner Service from China to South America Set Off
September 9, 2006
Skaarup Fortune Shipping Ltd (SFS) kicked off its first voyage of liner service from North China to South America. MV Hai Sheng, a chartered 37,500 dwt bulk carrier, sailed yesterday fully loaded with steels and other general cargoes, from the last loading port of Dalian, China, to the discharging ports in Mexico. Both Chinese and Mexican clients welcome the service and satisfy with its quality. The ports at the two ends tender full priority service for the ship. This monthly service meets increasing trade demand between the two countries. Taking advantage of the strong market, SFS has since early this year chartered 4 bulk carriers from Cosco. The Skaarup Group, headquartered in Greenwich, CT, has provided competitive bulk transportation services to industries worldwide for more than 50 years. Characterized by the legendary designs by Mr. Skaarup of the first modern bulk carrier and the ocean-going self-unloader, the strength of The Skaarup Group lies in its ability to create innovative and economic solutions to ever-changing transportation requirements.
