Skaarup President Bene Meets Senior Maritime Delegation from Dalian, China

On March 18, 2005 Thomas Bene, president of The Skaarup Group, met with a senior Maritime delegation from Dalian – one of Northern China’s important port cities.  The delegation was led by Madam Sun Chunlan, General Secretary of CCP Dalian, and Mr. Xing Liangzhong, Vice Mayor of Dalian. Chinese Consul General, Mr. Liu Biwei, also attended the meeting and the following banquet at the New York Sheraton Hotel. 

Mr. Bene and the Dalian delegation exchanged views on how to best help Dalian develop into a maritime transport hub.  The meeting also explored other opportunities for cooperation between The Skaarup Group and interests in Dalian. Madam Sun invited Skaarup executives to visit Dalian in the nearest future.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Sun Hong, CEO of Dalian Port Terminal; Mr. Zhu Mingyi, Chairman of Dalian International Group; Mr. Harry Xia, VP of The Skaarup Group; as well as Mark Johnson, a partner with Tridens LLC.
